Cruise Itinerary:
Reykjavik
Reykjavik is the beating heart of Iceland. The city was founded in 1786, but its also the site of Icelands first permanent settlement, dating back to 874 AD. Check out the Settlement Exhibition, a combination archaeological ruin and museum based around a 10th-century longhouse, where interactive technology and archaeology reveal historical Iceland. The church Hallgrimskirkja dominates the skyline ? admire its distinctive Expressionist-style architecture designed to mirror the nearby mountains and glaciers during your Iceland cruise. Need relaxation of the highest order? Take the sub-hour drive to the world-famous Blue Lagoon, a geothermal spa surrounded by volcanic vistas
Heimaey
The largest and only inhabited island in the Vestmannaeyjar (Westmann Isles) group off Iceland's southwest coast, Heimaey is home to just under 5,000 people. It came to international attention in 1973, when the lava flow from a nearby volcanic eruption nearly destroyed the town. Swimming, hiking, golfing, sailing, horseback riding and bird and whale watching are just some of the popular activities at Heimaey.
Djupivogur
Djupivogur is a small town and municipality located on a peninsula in the Austurland in eastern Iceland, near the island of Papey and on the fjord Berufjorour
Aberdeen
Experience the richness of Aberdeen's proud history and culture ? from the sound of residents' traditional Doric accent to the sights of glittering granite buildings lining the city's streets. Explore the cobbled roads and historic university buildings of Old Aberdeen, then take a stroll along the nearby sandy beach and watch for dolphins in the busy harbour. Afterward, find your way to the quaint fishing quarter of Footdee, and lose yourself among its tiny cottages and colourful gardens.
South Queensferry/Edinburgh
Edinburgh is Scotland's capital city, renowned for its heritage, culture and festivals. Take a long walk around the centre to explore the World Heritage Sites of the old Town and New Town, as well as all the area's museums and galleries. Then stop for a delicious meal made from fresh Scottish produce before heading out to take in one of Edinburgh's many events ? including the famous summer festivals of culture, or the Winter Festivals of music, light and ceilidhs
Rotterdam
Rotterdam is a major port city in the Dutch province of South Holland. The Maritime Museum's vintage ships and exhibits trace the city's seafaring history. The 17th-century Delfshaven neighborhood is home to canalside shopping and Pilgrim Fathers Church, where pilgrims worshiped before sailing to America. After being almost completely reconstructed following WWII, the city is now known for bold, modern architecture.
Haugesund
Haugesund is a city and municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The town is the main population centre of the Haugaland region in northern Rogaland. The majority of the population of Haugesund lives in the main urban area surrounding the city centre, with the northwestern part of the municipality being fairly rural
Molde
Western Norway's Moldefjord is home to a town of the same name, which was established during the fifteenth century. Known as the "Town of Roses," it was heavily destroyed during World War II.
Olden
Situated along the innermost arm of the Nordfjord, this picturesque village of western Norway is surrounded by some of Scandinavia's most captivating scenery. Here lies the largest glacier in all of Europe, the Jostedal, towering nearly 6,200 feet.
